About Us

The idea of Sea Shetland materialised while Michael and Adam were out coasteering, something they have been doing for years.

Our main goal is to empower people to get out in nature and experience the best Shetland has to offer. We are blessed with some of the most beautiful coastlines in the country and we believe there is no better way to explore it than immersing yourself in Shetland’s beautiful aquatic environment.

Coasteering

Coasteering is a fantastic blend of adrenaline, action-packed adventure, and exploration suitable for adults and children of all ages. Traversing along the intertidal zone of the sea or a rocky coastline, it typically includes a mix of short swimming sections, entering and exiting the sea by way of climbing out or over rocks, wading in, scrambling over rocks, cliff jumping, and finding hidden caves to name a few things. It offers a whole different perspective that most will never see.

When you work with experienced National Coasteer Charter Guides, like Sea Shetland, who have a passion for adventure, your safety is at the top of our priority list (with fun and adrenaline coming a close second).

Coasteering is a great activity as it is open to all abilities with no previous experience required. We tailor our sessions to match group ability whether it’s your first coaster or you’re a seasoned veteran!

Coasteering is the ideal activity for a variety of groups, challenging the individual and building confidence whilst also facilitating teamwork and trust. Coasteering is perfect for families, individuals, corporate away days, birthday celebrations, clubs, stag dos or hen parties.

Get in touch today to book your unique, unforgettable coasteering experience. We look forward to introducing you to Shetland’s most beautiful aquatic nature trail.
